Catholic Campus Ministry (CCM) at Christopher Newport University is a ministry of outreach and evangelization, with a mission of reaching students for Christ, in and through the Catholic Church.

Firmly rooted in the teachings of Christ and the Catholic Church, we seek to encourage students to lives of faith, hope, and charity – lived out concretely through devotion to Christ, especially in the Holy Eucharist, striving toward personal holiness, and service to others.

The CNU CCM Community celebrates Sunday Mass together at 3:30pm at the Pope Chapel, followed by a community Sunday Supper at 4:30pm in DSU Crow’s Nest. During the week, CCM offers a number of opportunities for worship, fellowship, formation, and service. Some of these include Large Group, a gathering of fellowship and faith featuring monthly mass and adoration, Small Groups, student led

scripture studies and faith-sharing opportunities, and both Men’s and Women’s Groups, which allow students to grow in their face as Catholic men and women with the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood, respectively.

CCM is led by a dedicated Student Leadership Council, and a full-time Campus Ministry Staff.
